Abstract

Summary

In order to increase the functional capabilities of the Automated Geoinformation Monitoring System for the decision-making support in emergency situations, it is relevant to develop an Automated Geographic Information System (GIS) for decision-making support, as well as software products designed to solve different tasks related to the calculation and assessment of hazards in emergency situations. The modular principle of organization and construction of information systems shall be applied to build the monitoring subsystem. Thus, application of GIS technologies as an integrating platform creates a single information space containing all necessary data for the effective operational command and control of units and rescue detachments.
