Abstract

Summary

In the context of modern urbanization, the problems of monitoring and mapping the ecology of the urban environment are becoming extremely relevant. Increasing of urbanization in large industrialized cities, increase of harmful emissions as a result of growth of the factories and plants, transport, deterioration of water condition, overpopulation are the factors that cause a decrease in the life quality of the urban environment. Monitoring such processesis is an extremely important task. The purpose of this research is to create a specialized geoinformation-analytical complex to support the tasks of environmental monitoring and assessment of the risk to the health of the population under the influence of chemicals substances that pollute the urban environment. Creation of such complex is a key task for further geoinformation system prototypes development to monitor environmental status in Kyiv. The city’s population was 2.95 million in July 2019.
