Abstract

The Slingram (horizontal-loop electromagnetic) method is a versatile geophysical method that has applications in ore prospecting, engineering geophysics, and hydrogeological investigations. The target is often a conducting geological feature in a comparatively poorly conducting medium, such as a water-bearing fracture zone or a sulphide deposit. Interpretation tools that quickly give the model parameters for the conducting body are necessary for the successful application of the method.
