Abstract
A09 DEPOSITIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY OF THE STRUNIAN-CARBONIFEROUS SERIES TASSILI N’AJJER OUTCROPS ALGERIA 1 S. CHELBEB and R. MOUAÏCI Sonatrach Bourmedes Algeria After the recent years discoveries the upper Devonian-Carboniferous sandstone units appear to hold significant hydrocarbon reserves in Berkine basin. However the lack of a palaeogeographical evolution model constrained with coherent biostratigraphical data makes any reservoir identification and correlation arguable. In this paper we present the results of a detailed outcrops analysis carried out in the Tassili N'Ajjers and the depositional models interpreted which will constitute a substratum for the subsurface study. In the studied area the Strunian
