Oil and gas searching wells drilling in East Siberia – Efficiency and Problems
By L.S. LebedevNowadays high efficiency searching oil and gas wells using asynchronous motors with frequency converters as main drives. Conception drives high efficiency is consists of considerably reduce energy consumption and significant energy saving in compare with other type of drives. Frequency converters are using for regulation speed and torque of electric motors. As matter of fact, energy saving achieves by means of frequency converters using for pump drives. Flux control with encoders improves accuracy of regulating speed and torque rotor and drawworks motors. Malfunctions in the electrical equipment are inevitable factor and the main problem of unskilled operating personal is spending a lot of time for malfunction searching and fault clearing. Perspective solvation of problem spending a lot of time for malfunction searching is application of expert system.

Refinement of geologic model using different types of data
Authors O.Y. Zaitsev and E.V. SolokhaOver the last 50-60 years, geophysicists has been achieved an enormous amount of techniques and technologies for processing of geophysical fields, the continuous development of computer technology makes it possible to realize more and more new methods of analysis of information to process huge amounts of data, including the integration of geophysical fields. The main purpose of the application of various mathematical algorithms in the processing of geophysical data is to reduce the ambiguity of the geological interpretation of geophysical fields. Petrel software is designed to bring together specialists from different disciplines work and maximize the use of all available information in constructing a coherent three-dimensional geological model with access to the hydrodynamic calculations. Functionality Petrel allow the user interpret the seismic data and well data, build a structural model of the deposit, simulate petrophysical characteristics, uncertainty analysis to characterize the model, well designed and modeled hydrodynamic process. The purpose of this report, to show how we can extend the standard approach to geological modeling, using all available geological and geophysical information, including data and electrical potential field.

Experience of seismic (CDP) and electromagnetic (TEM) joint data interpretation on the example of Kovykta gas condensate field
Authors I. Buddo, L. Baryshev, A. Pospeev, E. Murzina and Y. AgafonovThe paper shows results of joint interpretation of electromagnetic (TEM) and seismic (CDP) surveys in the study of the Kovykta gas condensate field. The most prospective reservoir at the investigated area is parfenovsky horizon. TEM curves inversion was performed while the depth of the reservoir and its thickness constrained from results of drilling and seismic survey. Defined geoelectric characteristics of horizon reflect the change of reservoir rock properties and type of fluid. Integration of geoelectric and dynamic parameters of the reservoir horizon can significantly improve the accuracy and reliability of prediction of hydrocarbons

The new electromagnetic technology for exploration of complex ores and gold
By V. StogniyInduced polarization (IP) surveys have been utilized in the practice of mineral exploration for base metals and gold since the 1960s and have led to a number of important discoveries. However, the classical technology of IP measurements has never been truly efficient because of noise from electromagnetic relaxation (transient process). We have designed a new technology, including acquisition instruments and processing software, to measure responses of a polarizing earth with a differential current line which virtually cancels the relaxation component. Once the relaxation component has been cancelled, there remain only the “pure” IP signals to measures, which become very high, and the exploration work thus becomes tens of times more productive. The basic idea of the new sounding method consists in the use of two transmitters (grounded lines) oriented in opposite directions. In terms of physics, the idea is to cancel (subtract) the relaxation component (transient process) of the electromagnetic field and to add the polarization component using pulses of different directions. The new technology is a workable exploration tool for complex ores and gold associated with sulfide mineralization in quartz.

Electrical resistivity tomography method application for groundwater survey in Novosibirsk Region
Authors A.N. Fague, V.S. Kuskovskiy, I.N. Yeltsov and A.A. VlasovDespite its relatively low cost near-surface surveys allow for substantial benefit to national economy. In particular, the quickly developing method of electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) finds its way in construction, engineering surveys, archeology and many other domains. A very important but still not very well studied field of ERT method application is hydrogeology. In particular, the problem of aquifers localization is well-suited for ERT surveys as a way to solve it. Fresh water is a valuable resource which can become rare in near future. In some countries its value can already be compared to oil. The problem of finding fresh water sources is old and at first impression -well managed. However with modern technologies we can do even better. This article covers results of efforts aimed to find aquifers by means of ERT surveys. During our surveys we used SKALA-48 and IRIS Syscal Switch Pro devices. Despite these surveys being relatively juvenile at IPGG SB RAS there are already some interesting results which allow make preliminary conclusions on ways and prospects of further development of ERT methods in aquifers exploration.

Key features of electromagnetic exploration with galvanic and inductive types of templates
Authors I. Egorov, O. Tokareva, V. Gomulsky and Y. AgafonovThe question of choosing the most effective and relatively cost-low electrical geophysical methods for hydrocarbons exploration is relevant. This fact is due to a variety of observation methods in EM industry, on the other side because of seismic limitations in poor-recorded areas. To evaluate the effectiveness of electromagnetic methods with different types of transmitting and receiving systems the comparison of TEM technique (near-zone survey with inductive type of templates) and DNME technique (differential normalized method with galvanic system) are considered in the paper. Through a one-dimensional mathematical modeling of electromagnetic signals for said types of templates the sensitivity to changes in polarization parameters was estimated. The theoretical and methodological aspects of TEM and DNME methods are performed. The layers resolution by different current transmitting systems was discussed. According to results for more reliable prediction of oil and gas fields the joint application of galvanic and inductive systems was recommenced

Research of an opportunity of HC stratigraphical traps forecasting by DNME method in high conductive medium
Authors Victor Vladimirov and M. PopovaResults of 3D modelling which one illustrate principal opportunities of a differential- normalized method of electrical prospecting (DNME) on forecasting reservoirs of hydrocarbons in not anticlinal traps in conditions a high conductive medium, characteristic for one of the areas of Caspian sea are demonstrated. As a basis for constructing physical-geological model were used a geological section constructed according to seismic survey, electric logging and the data received as a result 1D of inversion of field curves DU, Ps, P1 and Dφ. The opportunity of recovery of referent model simulating presence in a section of HC reservoir, in arguments of model Cole-Cole was investigated at conducting 1D inversion. The received results testify to high selfdescriptiveness of polarizing arguments used in IP methods at conducting of search works on oil and gas.
