Dynamic interpretation of seismic data on Kovyktinskoye field using optimized Parmcollektor technology.
Authors G.E. Rudenko, A.V. Alfosov, V.D. Klykova, N.V. Myshevsky and G.A. KhokhlovResults of inverse amplitude problem solution on 2D seismic wave fields obtained by using
optimized PARM-COLLEKTOR technology on Kovyktinskoye gas condensate field are analyzed. Results
obtained allowed maps of capacity parameter distribution (effective thickness, porosity, specific capacity) to
be constructed on the field for sand reservoirs of Parfjonovsky layer of Motskaja suit. The zone of stable
correlation of the reservoirs with thickness more then 5 m was contoured. High-capacity reservoirs regions
of sublatitudinal strike were detected in central and south parts of the field. Results obtained will be used
when calculating reserves.
Technology effectiveness was verified by five wells newly drilled.

Prediction of the Usanivsky anticline geologic structure based on 3d seismic survey using geoacoustic modelling
Authors E.A. Cherepanov, A.N. Kychkin and R.N. KhasanovBased on 3d seismic data obtained in Urnensky field, Western Siberia, Russia, an ancient
Usanovsky anticline of the 3d order is delineated by structural imaging. The crest of fold is not
characterized by drilling. Well logging analysis of the data derived from the adjacent wells suggests
drastic decrease of Jurassic sedimentary formation occurring towards the crest up to its complete
pinching-out. The main conclusion drawn from geoacoustic modelling is that the crest doesnt posses
any sediments of Vasyugan and Bazhen suits and it enables to predict the levels of its pinching-out.

Perspectives of Geoelectrochemical Methods in Prospecting and Exploration of Solid Deposits
Authors S.A. Veshev, N.A. Voroshilov, S.G. Alekseev and A.P. SavitskyNew approach finds more and more wide applying in geochemical prospecting by now. The
approach involves analysis of mobile forms of occurrence of chemical elements in the samples. The
approach is based on idea of long-distance jet migration forming superimposed haloes in upper rock
horizons. The haloes reflect composition of deep ore formations. Special methods of registration are used for
mapping of jet haloes. The methods are called geoelectrochemical because they are based on idea of natural
electrochemical processes. Geoelectrochemical methods allow to make geological-geochemical mapping of
closed territories, prospecting and exploration polymetal, copper, nickel, gold, thin, platinum and other
elements ores in different scales.

Local stack and kinematic migration of seismic reflection data.
More LessA method of seismic reflection traveltimes inversion is presented that is applicable to sonobuoy or
ocean bottom seismometer marine seismic data. An extension of local slant stack is used to improve signal/
noise ratio, to calculate reflection traveltimes and to obtain stacked seismic traces. The inversion method
is applied to transform stacked traces to depth cross-section. I illustrate the method with a sonobuoy data.

Construction of geodynamic and hydrodynamic models of oil deposit due to 3-D multiwave seismics
Authors B.P. Sibiriakov, A.F. Glebov, E.B. Sibiriakov and V.N. NesterovThe multiwave seismics, i.e. a seismics with P and S (C) waves gives us a possibility (plus some information about density of rocks) to obtain the elastic Lame constants. Using of seismic sections and mentioned elastic parameters we can integrate the equations of equilibrium for rocks with boundary conditions like a continuity of displacements and forces vectors on each boundary. On the free surface of the Earth there are zero vectors of forces. The integration has as a result all six components of a stress tensor. The first invariant of this tensor is a pressure in solid, while a second one is the measure of unhydrostatic stress situation, which causes cracks and other phenomena of instability. The pressure in solid has a nontrivial behavior. In particularly, it may decrease by growing of the depth. These effects can produce some natural pumps, which may accumulate fluids. Such zones of small pressure appear even in horizontal layers without any structures. In this paper is given a calculated tectonic pressure, an intensity of tangent stresses, probabilistic streamlines of fluids in productive layers and probabilistic orientation of cracks on Arigolskoe oil deposit in West Siberia.

Nonlinear Phenomena in Vibroseis Method and their Application in solving Exploration Problems
Authors M.B. Shneerson, R.Z. Chenborisova, V.A. Mishailov, A.P. Zhukov and V.F. FurmanGeneration of waves and their propagation in real multiphase media is accompanied with nonlinear
phenomena, application of which opens a new prospects in increasing the effectiveness of vibroseis method.
They are associated with use of wave-harmonics to increase the wave separation, more detailed resolution of
seismic sections and wave interaction to predict presence or absence of oil or gas in reservoirs. Field
vibroseismic operation results acquired by generating and recording of wave-harmonics and wave of
interaction are presented in the report. We show that level of waves-harmonics is high and it is possible to
use their energy to acquire additional information about target of prospecting. Next we show that wave
interaction study was effective to predict the presence of oil. The nature of the wave interaction is complex
and is associated with nonlinear features of oil bearing media. The interaction waves have differential and
summation frequencies. This phenomenon makes the waves picking possible.

Detection of fractured reservoirs by means of conventional sonic logging
Authors V.Z. Koksharov, Y.A. Nefyodkin and Y.A. OrlovFractures in earth formations are a primary source of seismic anisotropy. Anisotropy measurement thus
provides a means of fracture characterization. Using physical modeling and field results, this study
demonstrates the feasibility of fracture measurements using a monopole sonic logging tool. The method is
based on the properties of wave propagation in an anisotropic medium. This paper presents a method of
determining shear wave anisotropic parameters from monopole source-receiver systems.

The joint use of transient electromagnetic and vertical electric sounding in groundwater prospecting
Authors V. Tarasov and A. KaminskiTEM and VES were applied to groundwater prospecting at a site near Syktyvkar city (Komi Republic, Russia). We used multisequential TEM and VES inversion scheme, that allowed to improve the recovery of layered earth parameters. A relationship between the resistivity-thickness product (T) and the water conductivity km was evaluated, that could be used to estimate km based on electric and electromagnetic data in a similar geological situation. As a result of km estimation along the profile, an interval was defined, where water wells were most productive.

Elimination of wrong results at study of near-borehole space by offset VSP
Authors G.A. Shekhtman, V. Kuznetsov and V. PopovAt interlinking of surface seismics with offset VSP (OVSP) cross-sections it is supposed, that the latter sections are more authoritative. However at considerable offsets of the shot point, the danger of obtaining wrong results grows because of fast alteration of the angles of incidence of waves on reflecting boundaries and alteration of wave form of reflected wave associated with it. It is shown, that wave field modeling with taking into account dynamics before acquisition and at the interpretation stage enables to eliminate such mistakes. As an alternative way, application at the same time with OVSP of another VSP modification method – moving source VSP (MS VSP) – is considered, that is less incured to danger of obtaining of absurd results when apriori information about the model of the medium is absent. Advantages of the MS VSP are illustrated by calculations on mathematical models.
